THE AFTERMATH of the awarding of the contract for the air mail between New York and Chicago, continues to be a matter of public interest owing to the fact that the lowest bidder did not get the contract. After the Western section of the trans-continental mail service as well as all other air mail routes had been awarded to the lowest bidder, the awards were considered closed and the decision accepted as final.
