A 52 day 3000 mi. air cruise of Europe is to be conducted by a number of air service companies in joint cooperation, according to a report from the New York offices of the North German Lloyd Steamship Line. That company’s liner Columbus will leave New York Sept. 8 to reach Bremerhaven, Germany, for the start of the cruise.

An aerial photographic detachment recently left Bolling Field, Washington, D. C., for Florida where an aerial map of the eastern and southern coast of that state will be made for the Coast and Geodetic Survey. The detachment consists of Lieut. Julian S. Dexter, pilot and photographic officer, Mast. Sergt. Andrew Matos, photographer, and Pvt. Irving Kallmyer, mechanic.
