New Sites, Enlargements East The City Council of Jamestown, N. Y., is planning to take over Baker Field and develop it as a modern municipal airport. Preliminary plans cover the construction of hangars, installation of runways, and a lighting system.

CONTINENTAL FLYING SCHOOL, Seattle, has moved into its new quarters at Boeing Field, and is reported to be improving its facilities and equipment. CORPUS CHRISTI (Tex.) School Board is offering a ground school course to local school boys, with W. C. Maus, vice-president of the Southern Academy of Aeronautics and superintendent of the municipal airport, as instructor.

Blind flying instruction is now a part of the regular training of all French army pilots. The French post office is receiving bids for the operation of its air mail between Paris and Le Havre and between Paris and Cherbourg ; this is the first time that public bidding has been used for French airplane operation.
