Less Money for Small Business Senate Small Business Committee is protesting the downward trend in the portion of military contracts being awarded small firms. A staff report of the committee notes that, during the first nine months of Fiscal 1956, only 19.6% of the total dollar value of defense business was awarded to small business as compared with 21.5% during Fiscal 1955.
