Boeing Renegotiation Bid May Set Pattern

Seattle—Outcome of the legal battle between Boeing Airplane Co. and the Renegotiation Board of the U. S. in the Tax Court of the U. S. is being watched by key members of the aircraft industry with intense interest. The reason: This is the first Tax Court trial under the Renegotiation Act of 1951 involving a major member of the aircraft industry in which the recurrent, critical question of excessive profits under incentive-type contracts will be resolved.
