New York—Sales of gas turbines for non-aerospace applications are heading for record highs and creating sizable new markets for aerospace engine manufacturers. Current sales of gas turbines for industrial and marine applications are estimated to be $140 million a year in the U. S. and about $240 million a year worldwide.
