Intercosmos 6 Designed to Track Cosmic Radiation

Soviet Intercosmos 6 unmanned satellite payload included a multilayered silver bromide photographic emulsion designed to track high-energy cosmic radiation, as well as electronic equipment to detect, identify and measure it. Intercosmos 6 was recovered on Soviet territory Apr. 11, four days after launch from Tyuratam (AW&ST Apr. 24, p. 21; Apr. 17, p. 19).
