Voyager 2 Heads for 1981 Saturn Flyby

Pasadena, Calif.—NASA’s Voyager 2 spacecraft has been placed on a course for a 1981 flyby of Saturn after its successful encounter with Jupiter and several Jovian moons. The spacecraft performed a 76-min. trajectory correction maneuver shortly after it made the closest approach to Jupiter on July 9 at a distance of 404,100 mi.
