Army to Begin Flight Testing Tactical Missile System

EL PASO, TEX. The LTV Missiles and Electronics Group is scheduled to fire the first test missile in the Army’s Tactical Missile System (TACMS) program at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico Apr. 26, beginning an 18-month flight test program.

Navy Halts East Coast Kfir Flight Operations

WASHINGTON The U. S. Navy late last month stopped flying its East Coast-based F-21A Kfir supersonic adversary aircraft and is reconfiguring them for shipment back to Israel. The service earlier had planned to continue flying through September but decided to shut down flight operations and use the money saved to offset the estimated $6-9-million reconfiguration costs.
