PARIS Astronomers will obtain an unparalleled view of high-power gamma rays following the launch of an Italian scientific satellite. The spacecraft, launched last week by a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) from Sriharikota, India, will allow scientists to acquire, identify and catalogue X- and gamma-ray sources with an incidence angle of up to 56-60 deg.
