Boelkow Bo-105 rigid-rotor helicopter shown in flight (above and below) is V-2 prototype powered by Allison 250-C18 turbines. The military version of the Allison engine—the T63—powers the Army/Hughes light observation helicopter (LOH). Forward cabin of the Bo-105 has two doors on each side for access to front and rear seats. Rear seats tip forward or can be removed to expand rear cargo compartment. The compartment has rear clamshell doors and can accommodate two standard NATO litters.

Titanium rotor head with hub attachment assemblies (above) of Boelkow Bo-105 rigid-rotor helicopter has no flap and drag hinges. Need for these is eliminated by flexing of glass-fiber rotor blades. Blades are actuated for pitch by push rods.
