Engineering

The development of new protective and decorative coatings for magnesium alloys has recently been announced by the Dow Chemical Company. According to Dow technicians two of these coatings known as Treatment No. 7, and Treatment No. 8 surpass other known treatments in protecting magnesium alloys against salt water, and upon general atmospheric exposure result in satisfactory adhesion surfaces for subsequent paint systems.
