District Court Upholds Continental Lease Pacts

NEW YORK Continental Airlines will have to pay overdue aircraft lease payments or risk having the aircraft repossessed, according to a ruling by the U. S. District Court in Philadelphia. Continental had sought to suspend payments on leases for 108 aircraft by claiming that Section 1110 of the U. S. Bankruptcy Code did not apply to sale-leaseback arrangements.

NELLIS AFB Air Force/Lockheed F-117 stealth attack aircraft returning home from the gulf war arrived here to a public ceremony on Apr. 1. The aircraft opened their bomb bays and lowered their weapon trapezes, revealing an aspect of the F-117 that had not been seen clearly in public before.

Prototype of Starstreak-equipped Avenger Set for First Test Firing This Summer

WASHINGTON Prototype work has been completed on integration of the Shorts Brothers Starstreak missile with the Boeing Avenger fire unit, and the first test of the integrated system is scheduled for early this summer. The Avenger air defense system, which Boeing Defense & Aerospace Group produces for the U. S. Army, currently carries eight infrared-guided Stinger missiles in a turret mounted on a high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV).
