The year and a half during which I was constantly associated with flying at the aerodrome at North Island, San Diego, California gave me ample opportunity to observe the physical status of the fliers. Two things must be discounted in considering this matter; first the equable climate of San Diego and second, the excellent physical and nervous stamina of the men.

The Aircraft Industry Is Prepared

The American aircraft industry is in a position to meet the most liberal developments that can occur. Our factories are equipped and tooled up and employ about ten thousand men who are capable of turning out any quantity of at least five different types of airplanes and sea-planes, to meet any requirements that foreign experience has indicated during the past two years as being desirable.

It shows the channels through which the different committees, boards, and departments work and clears up for the aeronautical public a confusion which was the natural outcome of the quick expansion at the capital.
