Long Cross-Country Flight—A 1700-mile cross-country flight in a DH4B airplane from Boston to Detroit, Dayton and Washington and return was completed Oct. 26, when Lieut. R. Curtis Moffat, assistant air officer of the First Corps Area, and James T. Williams, Jr., traveling as a civilian passenger, landed back again at the Army flying field at Framingham, having made the last lap of the journey from Mitchel Field, L. I., in 1 hr. 30 min.
