Scott Field Activities—A mosaic of the territory surrounding the Air Service Balloon and Airship School at Scott Field, Belleville, III., is to be made shortly, using photographic planes from Chanute Field, Rantoul, III. This aerial photographic map will cover an area of approximately 144 square miles, and will include Belleville, Mascoutah, O’Fallon, Lebanon, Shiloh, and Summerfield.

An Important F.A.I. Decision

IN aeronautical events such as competitions, races, etc. it has happened more than once that owing to external circumstances a situation arose which was not provided for in the F.A.I. rules. An already classic case of this kind is afforded by the long-drawn controversy between the Aero Clubs of France and Italy as to who should be declared the winner of the 1921 Michelin Trophy, which has now definitely been settled by the F.A.I. in favor of Italy.
