Air Routes to South America

During the course of his testimony before the special board appointed by President Coolidge to make a study of the best means of developing and applying aircraft in national defense, Postmaster General New disclosed the fact that more than a year ago he had sent a couple of post office inspectors, in cooperation with representatives of the Army Air Service to make a survey with a view to establishing an air mail route connecting the United States with Central and South America.
