Distinguished Flying Cross Authorized An Act of Congress approved July 2, 1926, authorizes, a decoration to be known as the Distinguished Flying Cross. Subject to certain special conditions prescribed in the law the following are eligible for the award of this decoration: (1) All members of the Army, Navy and Marine Corps of the United States, while participating in an aerial flight, as part of the duties incident to such membership.
