DURING the Summer and Fall of 1927 aerial taxi companies all over the country reaped a golden harvest in “joy hopping” the public at so much per head. It was a common sight on Sundays and holidays to see hundreds of men, women and children flocking about the planes on an airport or flying field, each anxious to experience the thrill of a five minute hop about the field.
