SLOAN SPEAKS OUT—At a time when most war industries are either insisting that their full attention is being given to war production or that their postwar plans, if any, are nebulous, it is significant that Alfred P. Sloan, Jr., chairman of the Board of General Motors, speaks out in public about GM’s postwar master plan calling for an expenditure of $500,000,000 for reconversion.
