Scorpion May Get M-h Type Autopilot

USAF has abandoned hopes of using the Lear F-5 autopilot on the Northrop F-89 Scorpion, a spokesman for Lear Aviation has told AVIATION WEEK. This leaves the F-89, one of the newest all-weather interceptors, temporarily without an automatic pilot, generally conceded to be a must for all-weather operations.
