Tower and Crews Blamed for Collision

THE ACCIDENT American Airlines Flight 572, a Convair 240, N 94236, and a United States Navy SNB, Bureau Number 23773, collided 0.6 mile east of the Port Columbus Airport, Columbus, Ohio. The collision occurred at 20151, June 27, 1954, while both aircraft were on final approach to Runway 27.
