London—Rolls-Royce Spey turbojet engine, powerplant for the cle Havilland Trident three-jet transport and the BAC 111 twin-jet airliner, has drawn on extensive Avon and Conway experience in its development program. The engine, now in the 10,000-lb.thrust class, has accumulated more than 100 hr. of flight time in Avro Vulcan testbeds.
