Missing Safety Wire Caused Electra Crash

On Sept. 17, 1961, at OS57 CDT, a Northwest Airlines, Inc., Lockheed Electra, N 137US, crashed shortly after takeoff from Runway HR, at O’llarc International Airport, Chicago, I11. All 32 passengers and the crew of five sustained fatal injuries.
