Picture Capability Increased for Ranger 7

Princeton, N. J.—Extensive design changes will enable the Ranger 7 spacecraft, scheduled for launch July 27 from Cape Kennedy, to return 25% more lunar surface pictures to earth than originally planned, if the shot succeeds. None of the changes, however, were made with this as an objective, according to engineers at Radio Corp. of America’s Astro-Electronics Div. here, which furnishes the Ranger television subsystem.
