An-22, SST Model Climax Soviet Display

Paris—Soviet Union climaxed a massive air show display here by unveiling the design for its Tupolev Tu-144 supersonic transport and flying its giant Antonov An-22 military cargo aircraft from Moscow to Paris in 5 hr. 5 min. These two exhibitions were part of an unprecedented Soviet display of the newest Russian transport aircraft to Western observers.
