Severe Gust Blamed for 707 Tokyo Crash
British Overseas Airways Corp. (BOAC), Boeing 707 G-APFE, scheduled Flight 911, departed Tokyo International Airport for Hong Kong on Mar. 5, 1966. at 1358 hr. (All times in this report are Japan Standard Time.) After takeoff, when the aircraft was making a VMC climb via Fuji-Rebel, it broke up over Gotenba city.
