Congress Studies Dod Contract Audit Bill

Washington-Congress has begun action on legislation which would authorize the Defense Dept, to perform post-award audit of contractors’ certified cost data in firm fixed-price non-competitive contracts larger than $100,000. If enacted into law, the legislation would affect approximately 7,000 separate contracts, subcontracts, change orders or implementations of standing contracts totaling $4-5 billion annually.
