Comsat, Cable Owners Clash Over Traffic
Washington—First traffic fight between Communications Satellite Corp. and submarine cable carriers is under way at the Federal Communications Commission. The clash started with Comsat’s petition to the FCC to require American Telephone & Telegraph Co. and International Telephone and Telegraph Corp. to shift 100 circuits from the new transistorized Caribbean cable to the new Puerto Rico satellite terminal.
