Midair Crash Laid to Ifr Deviation

On July 19, 1967, at 1201:18 EDT, Piedmont Airlines Flight 22, a Boeing 727, N68650, and a Cessna 310, N3121S, owned by Lanseair, Inc., [Hendersonville, N.C.] were involved in a midair collision at an altitude of 6,132 ft. in the vicinity of Hendersonville, N.C., approximately 8 mi. southeast of the Asheville Municipal Airport.

Newport Beach, Calif.—An electronic model of a mammal's ear which is capable of distinguishing among words spoken by various people is being developed here at Astropower Laboratory as part of the McDonnell Douglas Laboratory’s continuing exploration in the field of pattern recognition.
