In what is probably the most gimmick-loaded airline market anywhere, carriers are casting out a wide range of sales bait, from such fundamentals as lower fares, increased seating space and frequent flights, to such oddities as “Aloha Tables,” “Aloha Rooms,” hot pastrami sandwiches with 25-cent glasses of champagne, free Island Punches and hi-fi stereo headsets.
