We can only hope that your editorial “Air Piracy Progress” in the Oct. 5 issue (p. 9) will prod the International Federaltion of Air Line Pilots Associations into some kind of definitive action. As an airline pilot, I, too, have been surprised and disappointed at the silence and lack of leadership displayed by IFALPA throughout the growth of the hijack fever.
