Budget Spurs Gain for Military Projects

Increased procurement and systems development proposed in the Fiscal 1975 federal budget are bolstering the electronics industry’s expectations of rising defense-related business in the next 12-18 months. Congressional approval of the Fiscal 1975 request (AW&ST Feb. 11, p. 12) would raise the authorized funding of defense systems procurement and development—the two budget categories of greatest interest to avionics/electronics producers—by $2.27 billion over the Fiscal 1974 level.
