About 2055 Alaska standard time, Dec. 16, 1975, Japan Air Lines Co., Ltd., Flight 422, slid off the north side of the east-west taxiway of Anchorage International Airport while taxiing out for a takeoff on Runway 6R. The aircraft weathercocked about 70 deg. to the left and slid backward down a snow-covered embankment with an average slope of — 13 deg.

Denver—Significant gains in business aircraft-related product sales are predicted by officials of Garrett Corp. this year and next as the company continues to expand its penetration of this market. The company believes that 1976 sales of its business aircraft products will tally approximately 30% of its estimated total volume of about $680 million this year, a 46% gain over last year’s ratio to gross sales, which totaled $630 million.
