Casa C-101 Trainer Production Begins

Madrid—Construcciones Aeronauticas, S. A. (CASA) of Spain has begun production of its C-101 jet trainer following award of an initial contract from the Spanish air force for 60 C-101s to be delivered between 1979 an 1981. The Spanish air force order for the C-101s is a significant milestone for the program, giving CASA the sales and production base it needs to begin export marketing of the aircraft.
