Washington—House Armed Services Committee defeated the Administration’s proposal for a CX heavy lift transport program by a 22 to 17 vote last week. Military Airlift Command commander Gen. Robert E. Huyser said the failure of the Administration to provide full details on the programs to be killed to make way for the Fiscal 1980 Defense supplemental cost the CX program seven critical votes.
