The top 100 companies received $89.578 billion, or 69.85% in Defense Dept, military prime contracts of $10,000 or more for research and development, services construction and supplies and equipment during Fiscal 1983.

Early Braniff Passengers Exceed Cartier Forecast

Dallas—Braniff, Inc., carried slightly more passengers than projected during its first month of operation after a 22-month absence, and advance bookings are exceeding expectations, airline officials said. “We ran a little bit ahead of our projected loads for March; it looks like we will be comfortably ahead of our plan in April and it’s too early to tell yet for May,” Braniff President William D. Slattery said.
