El Al Starts 767 Transatlantic Service in Attempt to Rebuild Image

Tel Aviv—El Al Israel Airlines has begun transatlantic operations with Boeing 767200 and 767-200ER aircraft on an experimental basis as one step in rebuilding its image by improving service on its primary North American routes. The Israeli airline is working its way back to a coherent operational status after a long and bitter strike in 1983.
