Enhanced Collision Avoidance System Cuts Unneeded Alerts

Washington—Recent Federal Aviation Administration flight tests in the Los Angeles area have demonstrated that a new Enhanced Traffic-Alert/Collision Avoidance System reduced by about half the number of crew alerts in high traffic density situations compared with a Minimum T/CAS-2 system also installed on the same aircraft.
