Traffic Growth in Europe, Atlantic Spurs World Airline Profits in 1984
Brussels—World airlines have posted an estimated net profit of more than $1 billion for 1984, which would be their first net profit since 1979, and an operating profit of about $3.5 billion. The profits came from growth of nearly 9% in passenger traffic and 14% in cargo.
