Employment Fluctuations Point to Changes in B-2 Program

WASHINGTON Boeing, a major subcontractor on the U. S. Air Force B-2 advanced technology bomber program, has been conducting an intensive recruiting campaign to hire new production workers for the project at the same time that Northrop, the program’s prime contractor, has been laying off hundreds of employees.

McDonnell Douglas Rolls Out Navy T-45a Goshawk Trainer

LONG BEACH, CALIF. The first T-45A Goshawk training aircraft made a powered rollout last week at McDonnell Douglas facilities in preparation for first flight of the U. S. Navy aircraft later this month.

Soviets Launch 10 Military Spacecraft Within Two Days

WASHINGTON The Soviet Union this month launched 10 military spacecraft in a two-day period, and last week launched an Indian remote sensing satellite as a commercial payload. The Soviets, on Mar. 14, also launched a nuclear-powered radar ocean surveillance satellite.
