Usaf Uncertain About B-2 Costs; Congress Lacks Budget Details
WASHINGTON The U. S. Air Force and the Defense Dept, remain about a billion dollars apart in their estimates of how much the newly restructured B-2 bomber program will cost, Air Force Secretary Donald Rice told Congress. The service is trying to iron out its disagreements with the Pentagon but still cannot provide B-2 budget details the House and Senate Armed Services Committees need to begin work on a Fiscal 1991 defense authorization bill.
