BOSTON The competition between the Erint hit-to-kill missile and Patriot guided by a multimode seeker is pitting Loral Vought Systems versus Raytheon's Missile Systems Div. in a contest of great significance to both companies. The Pentagon is expected to select either Erint or multimode Patriot as the Pac-3 missile at an early March meeting of the Defense Acquisition Board (DAB).
