However, I was deeply disappointed to see that you would editorialize so irresponsibly in "USAir's Choice Is Painfully Clear" (AW&STjune 20, p. 70), which is woefully amiss on several points.

WASHINGTON Cessna Aircraft Co. received FAA certification of its twin-engine Joint Primary Advanced Training System (JPATS) candidate aircraft, completing an intense, six-month development and flight test program. The two-seat, tandem-cockpit Model 526 trainer was awarded certification fewer than 180 days after its first flight [AW&ST Jan. 3, p. 17).
