WASHINGTON The Bosnian Serb air force is back in the air in an offensive role for the first time this year, this time attacking Croatian and Bosnian government frontline ground troops. The sorties with unsophisticated aircraft and weapons have been few in number, "one or two a day" during the past two weeks over western Bosnia.

Ariane 42l Launches Telstar Replacement

KOUROU,FRENCH GUIANA An Ariane 42L has successfully launched Telstar 402R, the replacement for the $200-million satellite whose failure sparked a legal battle between AT&T and Lockheed Martin. Late last week, the new Astro Space Series 7000 spacecraft was performing well as it headed toward geosynchronous orbit.
