TOULOUSE, FRANCE The European Astra SES satellite group and Hughes are completing solar array and antenna deployments on the advanced Astra 1E spacecraft, launched Oct. 18 on an Ariane 42L booster. Astra 1E is the first all-digital television direct broadcast satellite launched by SES, the Luxembourg-based Societe Europeene des Satellites.
