Pentagon Details Flaws In Kosovo Weapons

WASHINGTON Several of the U.S.’ most acclaimed weapons used during the Kosovo air war still have technical problems, a report from the Defense Dept.’s top official in charge of weapons testing shows. Among the systems generally credited with good performance during the war but still found lacking in some areas are the B-2, B-1B, Joint Direct Attack Munition and Joint Standoff Weapon.

BAE Systems To Train RAF Hawk Pilots

RAF VALLEY, WALES BAE Systems sees its Hawk Synthetic Training Facility for the Royal Air Force as a stepping-stone for further service support projects in the U.K. and possibly elsewhere around the globe. The Hawk facility, located at RAF Valley on the western coast of the island of Anglesey in northern Wales, was formally opened on Feb. 11, just over two years after a contract was signed.
