DALLAS General Dynamics' acquisition of Galaxy Aerospace Corp. will strengthen the company's foothold in the business jet market and reinforce its position as a major manufacturer of upscale executive aircraft. On May 1, General Dynamics agreed to buy Galaxy Aerospace from joint venture partners Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) and Hyatt Corp. for $330 million in cash.
