Paris Tightens Control Over Procurement
PARIS France will cut back its nuclear arsenal, reduce the number of bases and reef the sails of armaments agency DGA in the biggest force streamlining and modernization the country has undergone since the Cold War. That drastic cutbacks are needed to get under its budget cap is no surprise: The country was facing a massive funding bow-wave with little prospect of a topline increase.
