Sikorsky Flies Rotor Blown Wing Sikorsky has completed the first series of flight tests with its Rotor Blown Wing prototype uncrewed aircraft, including full transitions between vertical hover and forward cruise. Weighing 115 lb., with a 10.3-ft. wingspan, the all-composite Rotor Blown Wing (RBW) is a flying-wing aircraft that takes off and lands vertically in a tailsitter configuration and flies autonomously using Sikorsky’s Matrix autonomy system.
